North Carolina law HB736

Encourages schools to use alternatives to arrests and exclusionary discipline for all students. Effective August 2011. The law encourages schools not to punish minor violations with exclusionary measures. It also prohibits long-term suspensions for violations regarding tardiness and truancy. Read more
